The Registered Support Association (Förderverein) Girassol e.V. is committed to helping children and young people from severely underprivileged backgrounds. 100% of the donations collected in Germany go to the social project SBA GIRASSOL Kids/Pro.
SBA GIRASSOL
Founded in 1992 in the middle of a large favela in Grajaú/São Paulo (Brazil), the social project SBA GIRASSOL is now an institution where over 330 children and young people are given a future.
SBA GIRASSOL Kids
The GIRASSOL Kids day care centre is a care and learning environment for about 75 children aged 3 to 6 years. They experience age-appropriate support in a reliable, protected and loving atmosphere.
SBA GIRASSOL Pro
Every year, around 260 young people from socially difficult backgrounds are given the opportunity to gain professional qualification on 875m² in order to escape the lack of perspective of their lives in a favela.

Supporters and friends of Girassol in the USA now have the opportunity to support our work in a tax-efficient manner. The Förderverein Girassol e.V. guarantees that 100% of the donations received will reach the institution in Brazil.
